The Role: Want to be a part of our exciting growth journey?
As a Payment Operations Analyst at TRAILD, you’ll play a key role in the daily execution and support of our payment operations. Your focus will be on ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions, supporting payment partner relationships, and handling exceptions that arise across domestic and international payment rails.
You’ll work closely with banking and payment service providers (PSPs) to meet SLAs, support onboarding and account setup, and manage operational issues such as payment failures or delays. This role is ideal for someone who is highly detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable diving into the operational intricacies of financial systems.
Key Responsibilities
Payment Execution & Monitoring: Process and monitor day-to-day domestic and international transactions (e.g. NPP, SWIFT, SEPA, ACH), including outgoing payments, direct debits, and internal settlements for TRAILD Pay.
Onboarding & Account Setup Support: Assist in the onboarding process with new PSPs and banking partners, including documentation, account configuration, and testing to ensure operational readiness.
Issue Resolution & Exception Handling: Investigate and resolve payment failures, settlement exceptions, and reconciliation issues; resubmit failed transactions as needed to ensure service continuity.
Process Support: Assist in identifying operational inefficiencies and contribute ideas to improve automation, reduce risk, and enhance scalability - working closely with team leads or stakeholders to implement changes.
Partner Coordination: Liaise with PSPs and banks to ensure timely resolution of issues, adherence to cut-off times, and SLA performance; follow up on escalated service problems and support day-to-day operations.
Compliance & Controls: Ensure daily activities align with internal policies and regulatory requirements; contribute to audit support and reporting obligations.
Reporting & Tracking: Maintain accurate operational records and assist in producing reports and dashboards related to transaction volumes, failure rates, SLAs, and exception trends.
